MAKE SURE TO EAT SAFE

My wife and I have always been rather finicky eaters. We watched for things that most individuals tend to blow off when dining in public. I remember how it started 30 years ago. We were newly weds and went out for diner at one of the famous restaurents in Monterey, California's Fisherman's Wharf. While sitting there enjoying the company of my beautiful wife and the gorgeous breathtaking views of Monterey Bay and waiting for our sumptious meal, we happened to look outside and directly below the restaurant at the beach below. We saw starfish scattered with trash and refuse on the beach below. To make matters worst....when the entrees arrived, the food in the plate looked very similiar to what we saw on the rocks and beach below. We rose up and exited the restaurent.

This incident has set the tone for many more occasions of refusing food because waiters or waitresses sneezed as they were serving, or they wiped their noses, or in one case scratched their gluteus medius or their gluteus maximus while serving. We have left restaurents because the utensils were dirty or one time when the waitress informed us that they were having water problems. We left one restaurent because the dining area was too close to the bathrooms.

Call us finicky but......recently there has been an outbreak in some of the better restaurent chains with workers spreading different strains of hepatitis. What's worst....this hasn't been the first case.

We left a Marble Slab once because the server inadvertantly stroked their finger through their hair prior to dipping the scooping untensil into the ice cream. Marble Slab also had a problem with employee hepatitis.

We can't all live in a bubble. We all occasionally want to go out and eat and be served. All I'm recommending is to careful where and what you eat. If employees are rude, seem to lack personal hygiene, of if the restaurent seems unkept, I would pass, be finicky and cook at home. My wife and I are excellent cooks. If you are not, I strongly recommend that you learn.
