Cleaning Registry

I was beginning to think the Norton and IE were in Kahootz when I started getting messages about someone trying to gain access to my pc. I thought nothing of it. I always recieved strange messages from time to time that never prevent smooth operation of my system. Then the messages started increasing and appearing in conjuction with another message stating that my Norton anti-virus was about to expire. The suspicious fact was that these messages began to appear near the end of my Norton contractual agreement. The messages increased in frequency to a final cresendo with me being unable to login. After my laptop booted up...all I saw was a blank screen. I'm not a real computer geek, I was baffled, dumbfounded, vambooslde, stumped. Still I knew that some of the error messages I was receiving really didn't apply to my system. To add to my concern about the Norton conspiracy, the problems ceased when I switched over from Internet Explorer to Netscape along with removing Norton. Netscape provided a great scanning tool in it's boot. I later found a much easier fix in the link below. Also my service provider recommended AVG, it's a amazing tool that's free as well. My brother called and said that his system's anti-virus was nearing hit's expiration. He was recieving the same messages. I told him about my solutions and he reported the same results. Since then I recommended the following to my daughter, who was also near the end of her firewall expiration.
